Upper Room Student Ministry - www.upperroomstudents.blogspot.com
The UR Student Ministry is the umbrella for FBC Benton's effort in reaching 8th through 12th graders in the Benton area for Jesus. We have students from Benton, Bryant, Bauxite, and Harmony Grove that make up a community of students and their parents that we minister to! We believe that it is vital that we as a church come alongside moms and dads in the disciple-making process of their student. Therefore, we are committed to offering Bible Studies, camps and reretreats, and ministry/missions opportunities that will support, not replace, the Biblical assignment of moms and dads to disciple their student. Feel free to check out our blogspot (www.upperroomstudents.blogspot.com) to find out a little more about what is going on. We would also welcome the opportunity to sit down and talk with you about our dynamic ministry.
The Verge Middle School Ministry - www.msmverge.blogspot.com
The Middle School Ministry creates a place where 6th and 7th graders can laugh with friends, learn about the Bible, link with caring adults, love God more, and live to continue the movement of Christ. Our ministry offers programs and events that specifically targets students at various levels of spiritual commitments. The Middle School years are a key time of transition in the lives of kids. It is important to involve boys and girls in a ministry designed just for early adolescents. Here is the reality: “Middle Schoolers Matter.” This is the drum that we beat and the echo that we make. Middle School Students matter to God!
Pure Energy - Youth Choir
The student choir at First Baptist, known as Pure Energy, has developed a reputation throughout the nation for its commitment to excellence and its consistent strength in numbers. For several years, the group has numbered one hundred or more active students in grades 8-12. With an emphasis on worship, textual understanding, musicianship, structure, discipline, commitment, and student leadership, the choir has developed a strong tradition with which students want to be identified. Rehearsals are on Sunday evenings at 4:30pm throughout the school year.
