Most all of us are hearing the stories and seeing the pictures of devastation from last night's storms in central Arkansas. It's heartbreaking to know that families are grieving the loss of loved ones and homes. We should all be intentionally praying for the people in Vilonia, Mayflower and other communities affected by the tornadoes. There is also more you can do to help.
Crisis chaplain, Tamara Gore, contacted our office this morning asking for assistance collecting Wal-Mart gift cards which she and other chaplains can distribute to families experiencing loss from Sunday's storms. Tammi has asked for $10 & $20 gift cards to help these families with very immediate needs such as clothing, hygiene, food and gasoline. This morning, we posted this information here on our website and on our social media accounts. If you are looking for a tangible way to help tornado victims, consider purchasing a gift card and bring it to the church office as quickly as possible. You can also help us by sharing this information on your social media profiles and talking to friends and family.
Donations should be delievered to the reception desk at First Baptist Church between 8 AM and 5 PM during the week. Thanks for donating and helping us let others know about this need.
